Plate, Pre-Breaker

This pre-breaker plate is designed for use in Vemag 130mm grinder head assemblies, including systems equipped on the Vemag Separation Grinder 982. It is positioned as the first component in the plate and knife stack, serving as the initial coarse-breaking stage of the grinding process.

The plate features three oversized kidney-shaped openings that allow large meat chunks to enter the grinder head and be sheared by the rotating knife positioned directly behind it. This initial reduction stage decreases the mechanical load placed on downstream intermediate and finish plates, supporting consistent grind quality and sustained throughput during production.

In Vemag separation grinding configurations, the pre-breaker plate may also contribute to the automatic separation of hard elements such as bone and sinew from the meat stream. The plate is compatible with Vemag vacuum filler and grinder attachment systems operating with 130mm grinder heads, including equipment used in sausage, salami, pepperoni, fresh product, and convenience product processing lines.
