Quad Ring, Buna FDA

This quad ring seal is designed for use in Marlen vacuum stuffing machinery, including the Opti 100 and Opti 340 models, where it provides a leak-tight seal within the pumping system across piston, valve, and pipe connection applications. The seal is engineered to perform under the demanding conditions of vacuum pressure and continuous product flow inherent to industrial vacuum stuffer operation.

The X-shaped cross-section delivers two contact lines per sealing surface, offering enhanced sealing performance with less compression force required compared to a standard O-ring. The geometry also provides improved anti-twist stability during dynamic operation, reducing the risk of seal displacement or rollout in service.

The valleys between the four lobes retain lubricant throughout the seal's service cycle, minimizing stick-slip and contributing to extended service life in high-cycle applications. The Buna-N compound provides resistance to oils and animal fats commonly encountered in meat processing environments. The FDA rating confirms suitability for direct food-contact service, making this seal appropriate for use in food-grade production lines.
